Медицинские учреждения относятся к числу наиболее сложных зданий с точки зрения проектирования. Building Information Modeling (BIM) создаёт новые возможности для девелопмента объектов медицинского назначения. Авторами были исследованы различные проекты медицинских объектов по всему миру с целью анализа типов таких проектов и способов применения BIM. Большинство изученных проектов - это крупные новые многофункциональные больницы. Анализ использования BIM в проектах медицинских учреждений показывает, что сейчас в большинстве проектов задействована лишь часть колоссального потенциала BIM. К настоящему моменту технологии BIM использовались в основном на этапе проектирования крупномасштабных проектов. Но BIM обладает всеми возможностями для проектов, меньших по размеру, и для всех этапов. Кроме того, помимо технологических преимуществ, BIM также предлагает управление процессами и эффективное взаимодействие участников проекта.

Medical institutions are among the most complex of buildings in terms of design. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is creating new opportunities for the development of health facilities. The authors investigated the various projects of medical facilities around the world to analyze the types of projects and methods of using BIM. Most of the examined projects are major new multi-functional hospitals. The analysis of the use of BIM in projects of medical institutions shows that now most of the projects involved only a part of the enormous potential of BIM. To date, BIM technologies were used mainly at the design phase of large-scale projects. But BIM has all opportunities for smaller projects and for all stages. In addition to the technological advantages, BIM also offers process management and effective interaction of project participants.
