Статья посвящена проблемам формирования экономического либерализма. В ис- следовании предлагается новая трактовка данного явления во второй половине XVIII в. Идеи Ф. Кенэ нельзя назвать либеральными в привычном пони- мании этого слова, так как им предлагались ограни- чение частного кредита и прямое государственное вмешательство в экономику. А. Смит рассматрива- ется как идейный противник феодальной Европы, его либерализм следует рассматривать как оппози- цию господству современных ему аристократов.
The article is devoted to the problems of formation of economic liberalism. The study offers a new treatment of the given phenomenon in the second half of the 18th century. F. Kenes ideas can be hardly called liberal in conventional understanding of the word as he offered restriction of private loans and direct state interference in economy. A. Smith is considered as an opponent of feudal Europe, whose liberalism should be considered as a reaction to the supremacy of aristocrats in his epoch.
