Social-economic problems of Russia in scientific research at the beginning of the 21st century

Abstract
Aim. The purpose of the article is to identify the most pressing socio-economic problems of Russia, based on the analysis of modern research, to offer recommendations for overcoming them based on modern data and approaches.
Methodology. The key socio-economic problems of Russia identified in scientific research of the 21st century are analyzed. Such aspects as income inequality, demographic challenges, economic growth, inflation, key interest rate and other issues are analyzed.
Results. Russia’s socio-economic problems remain one of the most discussed topics in academia and society. In the face of global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, sanctions pressure, climate change and the technological revolution, Russia is facing the need to review its economic and social policies. The research of the 21st century allows us to identify key problems and suggest ways to solve them.
Research implications. Based on the analysis of modern research, recommendations are proposed to improve the socio-economic situation in the country.
