ON SOME PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED IN THE THEORY OF MACROECONOMIC EQUILIBRIUM
Abstract
The article compares the defi nition of macroeconomic
equilibrium in Marxist theory with those of
AD - AS and IS - LM models which are popularized in
well-known foreign and domestic text-books. The article
proves that the defi nitions of macroeconomic equilibrium
presented in models AD-AS and IS-LM contradict the
defi nition of equilibrium in neoclassical microeconomic
theory of equilibrium price and, unlike the defi nitions
of Marxist macroeconomic theory, do not refl ect certain
signifi cant aspects of market economy mechanism.
