The journal is the successor of the edition “Memoir of Moscow Region Pedagogic Institute (MOPI) named after N. K. Krupskaya”, which in 1978 got the permission of the Higher Certifying Commission Presidium of the USSR and the State Publishing Committee (Goskomizdat) of the USSR to publish the main results of doctoral theses.
In 1998 the journal “Bulletin of Moscow State Regional University” started publishing. The year of 1998 is the date of foundation of the scientific journal “Bulletin of Moscow Region State University. Series : Economics”. Within this period of time the journal published materials on general economy analysis , results of scientific-practical research in the sphere of economics and management of national economy, vital questions which reflect the development of financial-economic processes taking place in Russia and abroad. The authors of the publications were scientists from the leading universities of the country and foreign authors from the following organizations: Plekhanov Russian University of Economics; Bauman Moscow State Technical University; Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University); Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation; Russian University of Transport (MIIT); Architectural and Construction Design Institute; MIREA – Russian Technological University; Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia; Pushkin Leningrad State University; Institute of Africa of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University); Russian Customs Academy; Bashkir State University; Don State Technical University; PJSC “Post Bank”; Joint-stock company “Radio Engineering and Information Systems” and others. A number of articles presented the research results of grant projects, among which are: a cycle of articles by A.L. Novoselov, I. Yu. Novoselova, А. V. Zheltenkov, who published the research within the project “Development of economic mechanism of the conciliation of the interests of the state and business for the realization of regional nature conserving projects and programs” № 17-02-00010а ОГОН; the article by E.Yu. Dorokhina, N.A. Markelov “The use of cyber approach to modeling the age-specific birthrate” – the project “Development of strategies for Russia’s transition to the extended reproduction of population” № 18-010-00513 and some others.
The editorial board of the journal includes the leading specialists in the sphere of economics, management and finance. The journal actively works on attracting foreign authors and external specialists for cooperation. The development of the scientific journal “Bulletin of MRSU. Series : Economics” is aimed at enhancing the authority and quality of the scientific edition in accordance with the requirements of the international standards and citation indices, and including the Journal into the international citation index bases Scopus and Web of Science.
Over these years of work the journal has acquired good traditions: principles of publishing ethics developed on the basis of the international standards have been formed and strictly followed; rigid requirements for the content and design of the articles have been clearly formulated, presented and followed. The collective of reviewers work objectively and efficiently. In conclusion, it can be stated that the systemic coverage of modern economic problems, their thorough analysis, and consideration of the mechanisms for their solution at all levels has been and remains the priority for our journal.
