Methodological Tools For Assessing The Economic Efficiency Of Transportation Activities And Prioritization Of Transport Innovations

Abstract

Aim. It consists in the development of methodological tools to assess the impact of the most important factors on the efficiency of transportation activities and specific areas for its improvement, including those based on the implementation of innovations.

The procedure and methods. An analytical model for evaluating the effectiveness of transportation activities and approaches to prioritizing innovative directions for its increase in the field of rail freight transportation have been developed.

Results. Determination of directions for increasing the efficiency of transportation activities, analytical and graphical dependences of the efficiency of transportation activities on the main factors and prioritization of the relevant innovative areas (on the example of rail freight traffic).

Research Implications. The formula for calculating the efficiency indicator of transportation activities - the cost factor - is decomposed and presented in the form of an analytical model. Detailing of the factors influencing the efficiency of transportation activities was carried out. A toolkit for prioritizing innovative directions for improving the efficiency of transportation activities is proposed. The concept of multi-effect innovations is introduced.
