Improving the competitiveness of specialized accommodation facilities in the Vladimir region in the context of the region’s tourism resources

Abstract

Aim. To analyze the activities of specialized accommodation facilities in the Vladimir region and propose ways to improve their competitiveness.

Methodology. The research is based on the concept of a systematic approach, through which an integrated approach was carried out to study the state of activity of specialized accommodation facilities in the Vladimir region. The authors used a number of general scientific methods (in particular, analysis and synthesis, comparison, etc.). As part of the work with statistical data, a tabular method, statistical and comparative analysis were used, on the basis of which directions for improving the competitiveness of specialized accommodation facilities in the Vladimir region are presented. Additionally, design and logical methods were used, as well as the generalization method.

Results. The dynamics of the main performance indicators of specialized accommodation facilities in the Vladimir region is defined by the authors as positive. The state of the tourist resources of the Vladimir region is considered as components of the formation of a unique tourist offer of specialized accommodation facilities in the region. The directions of increasing the competitiveness of specialized accommodation facilities in the Vladimir region are determined and their importance is justified.

Research implications. It consists in revealing the potential of specialized accommodation facilities in the Vladimir region in application to the current economic reality and determining the prospects for its development using the tourist resources of the region.
