Abstract
The article reveals the features and problems
of Russian automobile industry development; ways
to improve the countrys competitiveness have been
suggested. The basic directions of automobile industry
development in the near future and measures of state
support to enhance safety, environmental performance
and quality of the industry under the conditions of the
modernized economy have been identified.
