LOGISTICS APPROACHES TO MODERNIZATION OF URBAN PASSENGER TRANSPORT

Abstract

The paper is concerned with the issues of
city communications development. Logistics principles
of city passenger transportation have been developed.
The role of a transport complex is considered on a city
scale; the impact of the functional purposes of cities on
logistical management of passenger transportations is
investigated as well as the factors influencing the process
of modernization of city transport service. The
mechanisms of developing the most effective schemes
of city passenger transportations have been revealed.
The primary goals of the control and regulation system
of city passenger transportations market have been
stated.
