Research of Socio–Economic Indicators of the Sphere of Social Services of the Population in the Russian Federation

Abstract
Aim. Assessment of socio-economic indicators of the sphere of social services of the population on the territory of our state.
Methodology. The main content of the study is the analysis of scientific literature and the current legislative framework on social services. In the article the authors present up-to-date data revealing the current state and indicators of the sphere of social services in the Russian Federation, the features of social policy in relation to the elderly population.
Results. According to the results of the study it was concluded that today the sphere of social services includes an extensive network of institutions, employees of which provide a wide range of low-tech assistance, covering all spheres of life of elderly citizens.
Research implications. It consists in identifying the key problems hindering the development of the sphere of social service, as well as identifying the development trends, the implementation of which will contribute to solving the problems under consideration.
