THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL SKILLS OF MANAGERS IN INDUSTRY

Abstract

The development of manager’s professional skills is considered through the prism of seven basic skills of an effective administrator in relation to an industrial organization. The types of interconnected skills are characterized both from the point of the theory of management and practical use. The description of these skills previously systematized by the American consultant on organizational management Stephen Covey includes the so-called “pro-activity”, thinking over the final goals of the activity, ordering tasks according to urgency and importance, completing the tasks, striving for understanding the colleagues’ initial positions, achieving “synergetic” effect in a team work, as well as physical, intellectual, social and emotional advancement.
